Flu (Influenza) clinics 2026

Ahead of our flu clinics on Saturday 3rd, 10th & 17th October, it’s really important that you review the video below (It’s 1min 10secs in length);

**You will be asked to confirm that you have viewed this video when you arrive for your appointment** as it is now a legal responsibility for us to provide patients with this information and that this information is delivered by a registered professional – in this case our lovely Practice Nurses Annie & Jade.

One of our registered nurses will ask you on the day of the clinic if you have any questions, which they will be happy to answer if you do.

Sending this information out to patients ahead of the clinic will just allow the queue to move more smoothly and minimise the time patients are kept waiting.

Other things that would really help on the day are;

  • Wear loose clothing and remove outdoor coats before going through to see the nurse
  • Consider whether you would like to have the covid vaccine on the same day (if you are eligible – see below)
  • Let us know about any previous reactions to the flu vaccine

If you want further information about the vaccines we will be administering on the day, the patient information leaflets below should be useful;

Flu vaccine for eligible Under 65 patients – TIVc-Patient-Care-Leaflet

Flu vaccine for patients 65 and over – aTIV-Patient-Care-Leaflet

Covid vaccinations

If you are 75 or over, or you are immunocompromised you will be offered a covid vaccine to go along with your flu vaccine. We have a limited amount of covid vaccine available to eligible patients on the day. You are able to receive the flu and covid vaccinations on the same day, though some patients do choose to have them separately.

If you do choose to have it away from our flu clinic, you would need to book a separate appointment at a local pharmacy. You can do this via https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/vaccination-and-booking-services/book-covid-19-vaccination/

We do have a note of which patients are eligible for the covid vaccination. Unfortunately, due to the volume of patients we see at the flu clinics we will not be able to answer any queries regarding eligibility, so we would ask you to contact the practice during the week if you feel you should be eligible and aren’t offered the covid vaccine at the flu clinic.
